How goes the new year resolution?

Updated: Mar 25, 2023

How are you? How are you hanging on?

Generally, people take out time to make plans for the year in the few weeks that open up the year. Like many people, I also do this. I usually start by taking stock of the previous years in the last days that lead up to the 31st of December, and then, by January, I will make New Year plans based on the reflections of the previous year.

This post is inspired by a conversation with a dear friend. The message of the post is, do not be pressured to make/have your New Year Resolutions in the first days/weeks of the year.

Productivity looks different for different people. While early planning are more effective for some individuals, others really take their time thinking things through. The word of caution is to find a balance, and create a personal system that works. Also, sometimes, some things don't need fixing. If your system worked for you the previous year, you might just need to focus on how to scale the system, rather than a complete overhaul to effect new changes. In fact, reviewing systems could lead to better outcomes when compared to designing new systems from scratch.

As we continue in 2023, I am wishing you the absolute best things that life has to offer.

I wish you peace of mind, joy and happiness in bountiful folds!
